In 2007, I created and project managed a new social media product PopProdigy.com, a pop video website that allows users to upload amateur content and gives advertisers the opportunity to sponsor and nurture popular new acts.
I raised seed capital in the City (Goldman Sachs), after initial venture capital from a BBC producer, to fund the development of Pop Prodigy.com based in Shoreditch. I defined the brand identity and strategy leading the design team on the new product. The website is a hybrid of the television show “X-Factor” using flash technology (YouTube). My latest internet offering (Pop Prodigy.com) was valued at £2.5m in February this year on seed investment alone, pre-launch.
