- I'm a College of Charleston senior, double majoring in communication and sociology. I'm also a PR intern at Leapfrog Public Relations. Previously, I served as an intern at the Charleston Food + Wine Festival. I write a restaurant and movie review blog (http://www.davidgheiser.com) and also write reviews for the college's student newspaper. Starting soon, I will be writing the newsletter for McCrady's restaurant, one of the nation's best restaurants according to a recent OpinionatedAbout survey.
I'm a devout epicurean, I'm subscribed to Food & Wine and Gourmet magazine. I recently finished Ruth Reichl's "Garlic and Sapphires." I've taken cooking classes and have spent time working both in and for restaurants.
I'm currently fully entrenched in social/new media. In addition to my blog, I use Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, FriendFeed, Chowhound, PROpenMic, etc.
I graduate in May 2009 and will be looking for a full-time position, or internship with the possibility of full-time employment, starting shortly thereafter.
